I've devoted most of my working life to trying to understand what clarity is and how it works.
The outcome is a very simple approach that allows anyone to get clear about who they are, what they do and how they get it done.
Of course, it's only in retrospect that I know the work was all about being clear.
Along the way, I've been an Oxford linguist, a pop culture journalist, a business school teacher, a stand-up comic, a campaign designer and a business consultant.
I've worked for the BBC, the Kaospilots, the Demos thinktank, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Logitech, Hiscox - all sorts.
Nowadays though, I just write about how to be clear, work with people who want to get clearer and write poetry. (You can buy my version of Lao Tsu's Tao Te Ching on Amazon.)
Get in touch - I'll be glad to hear from you.
"Charlie is the alarm cord I pull when my own head gets too confusing. He cuts through the babble to see what’s going on like no-one else can. Charlie should come with a health warning as this can be highly-disruptive (and much needed) work." - Kathryn Sheridan, Founder and CEO, Sustainability Consult
The Clearer Path
Behind the scenes, there is a small group of people who are working to develop different ways to walk the road to being clearer. Since Spring 2018, The Clearer Path have been experimenting, meeting, talking, practising and taking responsibility for a growing list of interesting projects. Natasha Stallard is working on Building Clear Teams, a systematic approach to bringing clarity to organisations. Si Griggs is working on Get Clear Now, an on-demand version of the current Clear Course. Liz Slade is working out how to publish and promote the books and cards and other materials that will make it possible for everyone everywhere to be clear. Pennie Ludlow is developing a Yoga for Clarity practice. And Si and Christine Friedrichsmeier are (in their own sweet time) developing their own practices as clear coaches. To find out more about joining The Clearer Path, the invitation is here.
